Without a doubt, 2017 brought amazing country music to the table. 2018 will be no exception. Artists such as Jason Aldean and Luke Combs will release new music this year.
It’s no secret that country music tells a story, and on the title track of his eighth album Rearview Town, Jason Aldean puts his past behind him. “When you look at my career and the personal experiences I’ve gone through, it really seemed like a fitting title for this record and it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever recorded,” he says of its title track. “It was important to me to pick songs that have substance to them, I’m more conscious of that these days.” After the Route 91 Harvest Festival attack in Las Vegas, Jason is focusing on the positives: his firstborn son, Memphis, with new wife, Brittany Kerr Williams, and his brand new album. “You make it easy,” my favorite song on the Rearview Town album, landed the #1 spot on the Mediabase Country singles chart this week, marking his 20th number one single within his career. The song, written by Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, reminded Aldean of his wife and he said he felt so lucky to get his hands on it.
In honor of the one-year anniversary of his #1 debut album, This One’s for You, Luke Combs has plans to release a deluxe edition on June 1, 2018. “One Number Away,” from Luke’s debut album, is #5 on the Mediabase Country singles chart this week, which is absolutely worth a listen. This One’s for You Too, Luke’s new album, will feature 17 tracks, including the 12 originals from his debut album and five new songs titled: “Must’ve Never Met You,” “Houston, We Got a Problem,” “Beautiful Crazy,” “A Long Way” and “She Got the Best of Me.”
“As a songwriter, I’m always writing and adding new songs to our setlists,” said Combs. “Some songs I haven’t released have even become staples in our shows because the fans request them. As we’re working on the next record, the deluxe gives me the chance to say thank you to the fans for supporting my debut album and share with them some of the new music they’ve fallen in love with on the road with us.”
Both entertainers will hit the road together for Jason Aldean’s HIGH NOON NEON TOUR this summer, which will kick off May 10th at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
